Job summary
Pearce Services is seeking an experienced EV Charging Field Service Technician to repair and maintain EV charging stations across a defined region. You will perform testing, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on Level 2 and DC fast chargers, while documenting site conditions and work orders.
The role requires independent work in varying conditions, strong electrical skills, and adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of EVSE field service or electrical equipment experience
- Journeyman-level electrical license preferred but not required by state rules
- Strong troubleshooting in electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read site manuals and electrical drawings
- Must be able to work independently and in diverse conditions
Responsibilities
- Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on EV charging equipment from Level 2 to DC fast chargers
- Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics (megger, thermal imaging, torque testing)
- Identify faults and determine corrective actions
- Complete field reports and work orders with accurate site documentation
- Follow safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and complete JHA/LOTO as needed
