Job summary

Intec Select is recruiting an End User Support Analyst for our client, a FTSE250 global financial services firm, in Houston. The role is office‑based five days a week with on‑call duties and some after‑hours work.

You will support end‑user technologies, triage issues, and maintain documentation while ensuring secure access and smooth operations across Windows 10/11, M365, and VDI environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting end users in a corporate IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop environments and common IT tools.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for end users via phone, ServiceNow, email, and walk‑up support.
  • Triage, own, and troubleshoot issues; liaise with IT teams for timely resolution.
  • Support desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, telephony and mobile devices.
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles on a quarterly basis.
  • Process service requests and tickets using ITIL practices and automation.
  • Maintain hardware inventory, desk setups/moves, and proactive room checks.
  • Assist with system access management and security controls.
  • Experience with Exchange recipients and groups (on‑prem & Microsoft 365).
  • Hands‑on with Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune administration.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and willing to learn, including PowerShell scripting.

Job description

End User Support Analyst – Up to $70,000 – Financial Services – Houston
Overview:

A leading FTSE250 global financial services organisation with a presence in over 60 locations worldwide is seeking an End User Support Analyst to join its Houston-based Global IT Operations team. Operating across numerous international locations, the organisation delivers technology services to a highly user-centric, fast-paced business environment.

This is a full-time, office-based role, requiring onsite presence five days per week. The position includes participation in an on-call support rota (typically 1 week in every 3), along with regular out-of-hours work during evenings and weekends.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key point of contact for end users, supporting incidents and service requests via phone, ServiceNow, email, and walk-up support.
  • Triage, take ownership of, and troubleshoot technical issues, liaising with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution and clear user communication.
  • Support end-user technologies including desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, telephony systems, and mobile devices.
  • Create and maintain accurate support documentation and knowledge articles on a quarterly basis.
  • Execute service requests and tickets using best-practice methodologies, leveraging automation, applications, and modern IT services.
  • Maintain the operational health of computers, printers, and peripherals, including hardware and software maintenance and basic break/fix.
  • Manage hardware inventory, device builds, desk setups, desk moves, and proactive room checks.
  • Assist with system access management, security controls, and spam/anti-virus protection.
  • Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or End User Support role.
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune administration.
  • Experience managing Exchange recipients and groups (on-prem and Microsoft 365).
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10 & 11 desktop environments.
  • Experience supporting VDI solutions and multi-factor authentication (MS MFA, DUO).
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and keen to learn, including scripting or automating tasks with PowerShell.
