Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Estimator in Training to learn and perform repair estimates in collaboration with senior estimators. You will communicate the value Gerber provides and help achieve a high close rate by guiding customers through the estimating process.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer communication, and teamwork with production and insurance partners. A strong preference for prior customer service experience and I-CAR progression is noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience.
• Photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Assist with repair mapping and initial photographs for CCC One.
• Notify production of arrival, verify estimates during teardown.
• Finalize estimates using Repair Planning Template.
• Support repair team to ensure accurate windshield notations and final parts list.
• Set promise dates and contact customers to review estimates.
• Provide regular updates to customers per management standards.
• Assist insurance adjusters and claim re-inspectors as needed.
