Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn estimate creation and repair planning while supporting the WOW operating plan. You will diagnose damage, prepare accurate and profitable estimates, and coordinate with customers and insurance partners to maximize closes.

The role requires a high school diploma, 16 I-CAR units within 12 months, and 4–6 years of related experience; strong communication and computer skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must currently possess or successfully complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience.
• Photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies opportunities.
• Handles repair mapping and takes initial photographs.
• Uploads photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time.
• Notifies production that vehicle has arrived and places in queue.
• Verifies estimate during teardown and finalizes with Repair Planning Template.
• Works with repair team to ensure windshield notations are accurate.
• Compiles final parts list and sets promise date.
• Calls customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Updates customer regularly per management standards.
• Participates in production meetings and follows up with technicians.
• Assists insurance adjusters and claim re-inspectors.
