Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Orland Park, IL is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare accurate estimates for repair per company guidelines. You will work closely with an estimator to map damage, photograph it, and finalize the estimate for insurance partners.

A strong focus on customer communication and timely updates is essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 16 I-CAR units within 12 months, and prior customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within first 12 months.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build rapport at drop-off.
• Map damage with customer and document WOW opportunities.
• Finalize estimates using Repair Planning Template.
• Communicate with production teams and adjust estimates as needed.
• Update customers regularly on estimates and promises.
• Assist insurance adjusters and re-inspectors as needed.
