Job summary

WSP in Hailey, Idaho, is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer to join the Hailey office and contribute to the ESSP Team. You will engage in electrical studies, SCADA, and protection tasks, with opportunities to specialize or work across a broad range of activities rooted in three‑phase power fundamentals.

The role requires a BSEE/BSEET/BSCE from ABET-accredited school and 3–5 years of design or configuration experience.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited BSEE/BSEET/BSCE degree required.
  • 3–5 years industry experience in design or device configuration in electrical disciplines described.
  • Solid understanding of three-phase power and power systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical studies, SCADA and protection tasks for ESSP projects.
  • Support planning studies and voltage stability analyses.
  • Develop reports with findings and conclusions using sketches, calculations, and software.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to meet objectives.
  • Assist with risk identification, project planning and field coordination.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.
