Ascensus, a leading retirement plan services provider, seeks a Retirement Plan Consultant to support ERISA compliance, plan design, and governmental reporting for sponsors and financial advisors. You will serve as a single contact for accounts, meeting clients in person or by phone and advising on IRS/DoL obligations.

You will mentor coordinators, manage plan modifications, and ensure timely completion of annual testing and reporting, while staying current with ERISA changes and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5+ years ERISA experience in retirement industry.
• Experience in analysis of financial data required.
• Experience in Relius software desirable, but not required.
• Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, exceptional customer service with problem solving and issue resolution.
• Communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Mentor Retirement Plan Coordinators to meet business objectives and client obligations.
• Assist clients with plan design and document needs and educate on IRS/DoL obligations.
• Help clients meet IRS and DoL deadlines for qualified retirement plans.
• Assist with service and IRS plan terminations as needed.
• Stay up to date on ERISA regulations through study and trainings.
• Coordinate payroll processing as required by assigned products.
• Work on valuation reports, participant statements and annual testing.
• Oversee annual testing for plans (ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 415, 401(a)(4), etc.).
• Collaborate with coordinators to ensure accurate valuation reports and reporting.
• Review distribution and loan paperwork and coordinate processing with asset holders.
• Prepare Form 5500 and coordinate timely filing with plan sponsors.
• Assist auditors during audits of plans.
