Job summary

Ascensus seeks a Retirement Plan Consultant to serve as the ERISA expert for plan sponsors and financial advisors. You will handle testing, 5500 filings, loans and distributions, while supporting plan design updates and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor coordinators, coordinate with interns and actuaries, and ensure timely filings and accurate valuation reporting as part of a collaborative team across the country.

Qualifications

• ERISA experience in retirement industry required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for plan sponsors and advisors on ERISA compliance, plan design and governmental reporting.
• Act as the single point of contact for employer, advisor and plan sponsor.
• Assist with plan design, document updates and IRS/DOL obligations.
• Prepare and review Form 5500, testing and distributions as needed.
• Coordinate with actuaries, attorneys and financial professionals for accurate book of business.
