Job summary

VEG is seeking a Nursing Trainer to lead with curiosity, coach with compassion, and develop emergency medicine staff across VEG hospitals. You'll split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic program development, tailoring training to different learning styles and building a strong mentoring culture.

This role requires veterinary tech credentials, teaching mindset, and willingness to travel within the region to onboard new veterinarians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the VEG practice state; VTS in ECC or anesthesia is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medicine and prior training experience preferred.
• Passion for teaching and uplifting others with an ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams; willingness to travel within region.

Responsibilities

• Identify individual and team training needs with leadership.
• Assess assistants and technicians through observation and immersion.
• Lead VEG Cultivate program advancement.
• Implement training programs and serve as the hospital's training lead.
• Split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic development.
• Develop training content (presentations, videos, simulations).
• Ensure training aligns with VEG culture and care standards.
• Evaluate leveling programs for staff growth.
