Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift RN for the Emergency Room in our 16-bed Small-Format Hospital. This PRN role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the ER, with emphasis on compassionate, age-appropriate nursing and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. ENPC may substitute PALS; TNCC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions is required.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC substitution allowed; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care in the Emergency Room.
• Maintain accurate, legible documentation of medical records.
• Observe and record patient signs, symptoms and status.
• Follow physician orders and deliver nursing care.
• Prepare and handle specimens; perform lab testing per policy and regulations.
• Ensure infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Assist with equipment and procedures; adhere to state and facility policies.
