Job summary

Emerus is hiring an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 20-bed small-format hospital. The day shift runs 7A–7P on a full-time basis. You will assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ER, ensuring privacy and safety while adhering to physician orders and infection control.

Requirements include an RN license, 2+ years ER experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and fluency in English. Pennsylvania-specific clearances may apply; join a team focused on compassionate, comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions.
• 2+ years of full-time ER or equivalent RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS/ALS, and PALS certifications required; ENPC substitution for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• PA candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed within last 5 years or before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and concisely.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and infection control procedures.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers; prepare equipment.
• Participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.
