Surepoint ER is seeking a customer service oriented professional to greet patients, register them and coordinate with clinical staff while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.

You will verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays and explain financial responsibilities, answering phones with a friendly demeanor. Must work in a fast-paced environment and maintain current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge and ability to protect patient information.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Ability to perform basic math and money transactions.
• Proficient typing and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, provide general assistance with courtesy and respect.
• Enter demographic and financial data accurately into the computer system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate patient financial responsibility.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and set up payment plans.
• Answer phones, take messages and return voicemails promptly.
