You will verify insurance details, obtain consent, collect co-pays, and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation during high-stress situations.

Formación

• Post-secondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of healthcare experience including patient registration, scheduling, or front desk admissions.
• 0-2 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and families professionally and compassionately.
• Register patients for emergency services and collect required personal, insurance, and medical information.
• Verify patient identity and insurance details and update records as needed.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and explain each consent.
• Verify insurance coverage for billing purposes.
• Collect co-pays and inform patients of financial obligations.
• Assist with insurance questions and requirements.
• Document information on forms when patients cannot sign and secure nursing sign-off if needed.
• Ensure proper patient identification with armbands and communicate with departments during emergencies.
