Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an ER Registrar to manage patient intake and registration in the Emergency Department. You will collect personal, insurance, and medical information, ensure accuracy and confidentiality of records, and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families.

The role supports efficient department operations through accurate documentation, insurance verification, and communication across clinical and administrative teams, in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 0-2 years of experience in customer service preferred.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and families professionally and compassionately.
• Register patients for emergency services and collect required information.
• Verify patient identification and insurance details, updating records as needed.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for billing purposes.
• Collect co-pays or deductibles and inform patients of financial obligations.
• Assist patients with understanding insurance requirements and questions.
