Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 0-2 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Register patients for emergency services with all required personal and insurance information.
• Verify patient identity and insurance details and update records as needed.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and explain each consent prior to signing.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for billing purposes.
• Collect co-pays or deductibles when applicable and inform patients of financial obligations.
• Assist patients with understanding insurance requirements and questions.
• Document clearly when a patient cannot sign and note nursing sign-off if applicable.
• Notify physicians and departments of patient arrival and delays as needed.
• Maintain identification armbands and ensure patient safety during stay.
