Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ seeks a Patient Access Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, verify insurance, register patients, and collect balances with compassionate service in a fast-paced setting.

You will work Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from 11am–11pm, with an 18% night differential after 7pm and weekend hourly premium. New hire orientation and PAS training are required for 2–4 weeks and scheduling varies during training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service skills or knowledge of patient financial services, financial, or insurance processes typically gained with 1+ year experience.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; able to interact with a wide range of audiences.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics and input into the EHR accurately.
• Assist with admission, registration, and insurance verification and authorization.
• Explain financial responsibilities and assist with billing and financial counseling as needed.
• Support patient flow and collaboration with clinical teams to improve service quality.
