Banner Health Staffing Services seeks a Registry/Per Diem Patient Access Specialist in a hospital-based setting. You will handle in-person patient intake, registration, and financial counseling, verifying demographics and insurance eligibility while generating patient estimates for services rendered.

The role offers per diem hours with weekends as needed, compensation includes a weekend differential, and requires completion of post-offer screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience or knowledge of patient financial services/insurance processes is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and work both independently and in a team.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and handle in-person registration.
• Verify demographics in EHR and document accurately to maximize reimbursement.
• Explain insurance benefits and collect patient liability.
• Provide financial counseling and assist with payment plans/apply for Banner Financial Assistance.
• Work in a high-volume hospital-based setting with attention to timely patient care.
