Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s Emergency Department is hiring a Paramedic for full-time day shifts. Join a team of ED nurses, technicians, and providers delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy 38-bed facility with acute stroke and STEMI capabilities.

You’ll perform EKGs, IV starts, blood draws, catheterizations, and patient transport while maintaining strong teamwork and communication. Required BLS; ACLS and PALS preferred or to be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• Current Georgia Paramedic license and National Registry preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS required; PALS required or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs.
• Start IVs, IOs and draw blood.
• Foley catheter placement.
• Transport patients to other departments.
• Monitor patients for arrhythmias and report changes.
• Provide safe patient care with age- and culturally appropriate care.
