Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department. The role involves immediate patient care, EKG monitoring, IV/IO access, and collaboration with nurses and physicians to ensure accurate, timely interventions.

Applicants should have a HS diploma, current BLS, and prefer 1 year of Paramedic experience. ACLS/PALS are required on hire, with NIH certification preferred to obtain within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS and PALS required on hire; NIH preferred to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Start IVs and IOs; draw blood as needed.
• Foley catheter insertion.
• Transport patients to other departments.
• Provide safe patient care with attention to age-specific and cultural needs.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and physicians.
