Job summary

Emerus seeks an experienced ER nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a swing shift ER setting at a 22-bed small-format hospital partner. You will assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care, ensuring patient safety and comfort across age groups.

You will document thoroughly, follow physician orders, collect labs, adhere to infection control, and participate in admissions, discharges and transfers while upholding privacy and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33/Act 73 clearances may be required within the last 5 years or prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, concise medical records documentation.
• Observe and document signs, symptoms, and physiological status of patients.
• Follow physician’s orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies, COLA/CLIA.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for procedures and assist others as needed.
