Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days and maintain current.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certification within 12 months of hire and kept current.
• TNCC preferred for trauma-designated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in Telemetry.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and educate patient/family.
• Direct and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining professional standards.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and document results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and adhere to EMTALA reporting requirements.
