Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry floor. The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process and coordinates patient/family teaching while guiding other staff.

You will monitor cardiac status, communicate changes to physicians, and respond quickly to evolving conditions during night shifts. Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus preferred BSN and RN-BC certification.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the Telemetry Unit and guide patient/family teaching.
• Direct and coordinate care with other nursing staff; communicate changes to physicians.
• Monitor cardiac status and respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment outcomes.
