Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in Telemetry and the Emergency Department, following the nursing process and collaborating with physicians.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family education, and guiding other nursing staff. Must communicate changes in patient condition and maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certificate within 12 months of hire and maintained current.
• EDAP certified facilities: completion of required annual education.
• NRP certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire; TNCC preferred for non-trauma facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and document results; maintain privacy and confidentiality.
