Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient and family teaching, while coordinating with other nurses and physicians on changes in clinical condition.

The role requires current RN license, BLS and ACLS; BSN preferred and acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
