Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care on the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within scope, and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.

This full-time day shift requires current IL RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ventilator management experience; BSN preferred; acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice on Telemetry Unit.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition, tests and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment.
