Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state
• BLS certificate on hire
• ALS certificate on hire
• PALS and/or ENPC on hire
• CEN preferred
• BSN preferred
• ECRN or MICN within 12 months
• EDAP annual education
• NRP within 90 days
• TNCC within 12 months (trauma) or TNCC preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Direct and guide nursing personnel while maintaining professional standards in Telemetry and ED.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physician and interpret diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and follow EMTALA regulations.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS certificate upon hire

Current ALS certificate

Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC

Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

ECRN or MICN certificate within 12 months

EDAP annual education

NRP certificate within 90 days

TNCC within 12 months (trauma) / TNCC preferred
