Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Dept Flow Coordinator and Registered Nurse for the South Campus Emergency Department in Snellville, GA. This full-time day shift role centers on optimizing patient flow, coordinating multi-departmentcare, and maintaining ED efficiency.

The role requires strong clinical leadership, ED nursing experience, and excellent communication to support timely dispositions and safety across the care team.

Qualifications

• RN with ED experience and strong leadership skills.
• Ability to direct patient flow and coordinate care across disciplines.
• Excellent communication and delegation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Directs all team members regarding prioritization and patient flow.
• Single point of contact for MDs; minimizes interruptions and improves communication.
• Coordinates patient placement, transfers, and admission decisions.
• Monitors room availability and turnover; ensures orders and procedures are coordinated.
• Notifies MDs when disposition is ready and liaises with other departments.
• Assists with triage and prioritization of EMS patients; oversees ED pod guidelines.
• Maintains tracking board, ensures data is current, and oversees staff scheduling and lunches.
• Participates in improving ED processes and quality measures; accountable for wait times.
