Job summary

First Solar is seeking a technically skilled maintenance leader to provide leadership to the maintenance team and drive the engineering aspect of the maintenance process at our Ohio site. You will use engineering tools to drive improvements and rate repair effectiveness.

You will maintain PM records, publish routine reports, and work with cross-functional teams to improve Throughput and equipment availability. Travel is possible; domestic and international travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in engineering or related field is preferred; no experience required for advanced degree path.
• Associates plus 3+ years of First Solar maintenance or 6+ years in manufacturing accepted.
• Certifications can substitute for degrees with demonstrated mentorship and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with CMMS, preferably Maximo; knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, participate and implement PM planning.
• Create and update Preventive Maintenance Work Instructions and specs.
• Continuously improve spare part availability.
• Provide training to Maintenance team.
• Monitor long term equipment down issues and lead resolutions.
• Interface with cross-functional groups to implement equipment improvement projects.
