Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a shift engineering and maintenance supervisor to lead a team responsible for module equipment process control and repair. The role focuses on safety, quality, yield and throughput, with emphasis on cost efficiency and continuous improvement.

The candidate should have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience with maintenance planning and problem-solving. This position is based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Fundamental electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with vacuum, thermal, electrical, mechanical, and chemical applications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with data analysis and SPC concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift engineering and maintenance technicians to meet safety, quality, yield and throughput goals.
• Plan and supervise daily work and ensure production readiness.
• Escalate issues and coordinate with support teams to restore production.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and 5S.
• Utilize maintenance systems to track work orders and tool status.
