Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to oversee the facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance. You will plan headcount and daily schedules for Maintenance Technicians under the Maintenance Supervisor, and mentor junior technicians in repair procedures.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, performing electrical and vacuum troubleshooting, writing repair procedures, and reporting work orders in Oracle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2-year technical/ electrical maintenance schooling preferred.
• 3-year associate degree or equivalent in a technical discipline preferred.
• 5-10 years maintenance experience.
• 2 years’ experience with degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Leadership or previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of SPC and Process Control Techniques.
• Project Leader and previous supervisory experience a plus.
• Proven Communications Skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required.
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Proven Electro/Mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Vacuum Systems and Laser operations.
• Knowledge of Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan headcount and schedules for Maintenance Technicians under the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Mentor, train and certify junior technicians in repair procedures.
• Read schematics and perform basic electronic, vacuum troubleshooting and leak detection.
• Write procedures for repair specifications when requested.
• Report all work orders accurately in the Oracle system.
• Interact with other departments and vendors while maintaining safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
• Train maintenance technicians and manage spare parts inventories.
