Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Technician- Engineering Maintenance Associate for Manufacturing Technology Scaling USA in OH. The role focuses on supporting installation, qualification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment on the production line.

You will review process and equipment data, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to throughput, yield, and product performance. Training will upskill you to handle start-up, qualification, and process implementation with supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years experience as a Production Operator/Technician or two+ years in high-volume manufacturing.
• Hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.
• Safety mindset with ability to upskill through structured training; good written/oral communications; basic Windows skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
• Review process and equipment data on dashboards and determine corrective action as needed.
• Troubleshoots day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.
• Performs maintenance and repairs of equipment timely and cost-efficiently.
• Identifies and implements system improvements to improve throughput, yield and product performance.
• May provide on-site service and repair of equipment.
