Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to support the manufacturing line. You will assist in installing and qualifying equipment, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and perform timely maintenance and repair to keep processes running at target yield and performance.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with production teams to implement process improvements and sustain equipment reliability on the line.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidates must meet ONE of the following: associates degree in a technical discipline; two or more years machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function; one year First Solar technical experience; six months EMT experience at First Solar with rating of 5 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identifies and implements yield and product performance improvements.
• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Develops methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Maintains gauges and process controls as defined by the Plan.
