Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager in Allentown to lead a maintenance operation. You will hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians, ensure equipment is properly repaired, and partner with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location.

You will drive safety, manage R&M and the P&L, coach staff to meet time and quality standards, oversee parts activities, and continuously improve performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• 5+ years of service and maintenance experience; 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and safety awareness.
• Experience with maintenance accounting and P&L a plus.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Oversee R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget.
• Lead and measure service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities for productivity and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide training across the team.
• Promote safety culture and compliance.
