Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance operation, hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians, and drive efficiency and customer satisfaction through proper maintenance and repair.

You will partner with the Branch Manager, oversee safety, budget and P&L, develop talent, and continuously improve maintenance metrics while delivering results for a profitable location.

Qualifications

• Extensive fleet maintenance and leadership experience.
• 5+ years service and maintenance, 3+ years supervisory.
• Strong customer service and budget awareness.
• Good knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Oversee R&M, P&L and related costs/budget.
• Lead and measure maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department for service quality and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide training and coaching.
• Promote safety and accountability through leadership.
• Perform other duties as needed.
