Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance enterprise at a Midland, TX location.

You will hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians, ensure equipment is properly maintained, and work closely with the Branch Manager to build a profitable operation. You will coach technicians, manage R&M and P&L, and drive continuous improvement of maintenance metrics while ensuring stellar customer service and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of service and maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.
• Basic computer skills (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget.
• Lead, plan and measure service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities for optimal customer service and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide needed training and coaching.
• Promote safety culture through leadership and accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
