Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Epic Willow applications specialist to support Willow Inpatient and Willow Ambulatory systems. You will partner with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, and IT to analyze workflows, implement improvements, and ensure safe medication management.

Responsibilities include testing plans, upgrades, incident resolution, and change management as a Willow SME. Requires Epic Willow certification and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare IT experience.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant application support, clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or Epic experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience supporting Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory applications in a healthcare environment.
Experience translating business and clinical requirements into system solutions.
Experience with testing, upgrades, change management, incident management, and optimization.
Experience collaborating with pharmacists, providers, nursing staff, and operational leaders.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance, and enhancement of Epic Willow applications.
Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to analyze workflows and implement system improvements.
Gathers functional requirements, develops testing plans, and supports implementation of enhancements.
Provides application support, incident resolution, change management, and project coordination as a Willow SME.
