Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Epic Willow Application Specialist to support Willow Inpatient and Willow Ambulatory deployments. You will analyze workflows, coordinate testing, and implement system enhancements to improve medication management and patient safety.

Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams to optimize clinical and business outcomes, manage incidents, upgrades, and change requests, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree as listed (Required) or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory Certification (Required)
• 3+ years of relevant application support, clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or Epic experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance, and enhancement of Epic Willow applications.
• Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to analyze workflows, implement system improvements, and support safe, efficient medication management processes.
• Evaluates software releases, upgrades, and new functionality to optimize clinical and business outcomes while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.
• Performs workflow assessments, gathers functional requirements, develops testing plans, and supports implementation of system enhancements.
• Provides application support, incident resolution, change management, and project coordination while serving as a subject matter expert for Epic Willow applications.
