Job summary

Family Health West in Fruita, CO is seeking an Epic Trainer- Clinical to empower MAs, physicians, and clinical staff to use Epic effectively. This role blends hands-on clinical experience with teaching, problem-solving, and workflow improvement, with on-going onboarding and routine rounding across departments.

You will develop training curriculums with the Informatics Medical Director, tailor instruction by role, and create practical materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years Epic experience in a healthcare setting.
• No professional license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on Epic training for MAs, physicians, and other clinical staff through individual coaching, small-group sessions, and at-the-elbow support.
• Support onboarding for new employees and providers, tailoring instruction to each role.
• Assess learning needs and provide follow-up coaching to reinforce Epic use.
• Develop and maintain training materials, quick-reference guides, and workflow instructions.
• Promote and adopt Epic updates, new functionality, and approved workflows.
• Regularly round in departments to observe workflows and address Epic-related challenges.
• Collaborate with clinicians and Epic analysts to improve workflows from preparation to follow-up.
