Job summary

Methodist Health System seeks an Epic Trainer to serve as an expert for Epic workflows and to conduct one-on-one and classroom training for clinical and non-clinical end users.

The role provides ongoing training and answers Epic training questions, acting as a primary contact for end users and collaborating with the Epic team to ensure successful training and adoption across Methodist Health System’s hospitals and affiliated clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, nursing, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent work experience in healthcare can replace the educational requirement.
• Credentialed in an Epic Application Module (Orders, OpTime & Anesthesia) preferred; otherwise credentialed in primary Epic Application within first three months.

Responsibilities

• Conducts one-on-one and classroom training sessions for new and existing end users, delivered in person and via Zoom.
• Schedules and delivers Epic desktop and mobile application training for onboarding providers and existing users.
• Provides go-live support for new hospitals and clinics to ensure a smooth Epic implementation and adoption.
• Provides ongoing support to end-users, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and addressing concerns related to Epic software.
• Triages, assigns, and resolves incidents and service requests with timely, professional customer support.
• Collaborates with training team to review education prior to deployment of new builds, changes, and upgrades.
