Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy to enter, update, and retrieve information accurately.
• Strong customer service skills with empathy and clear communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: experience with scheduling or similar role; familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the surgery schedule, coordinating with providers and providers’ offices.
• Coordinates patient placement and ensures equipment, implants, and room availability before procedures.
• Communicates detailed information, including arrival and procedure times.
• Answers patients’ questions with strong customer service, empathy, and professional communication.
• Works with subspecialty teams to ensure accuracy of implants, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with cancellations by identifying reasons and passing along pertinent information.
