Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, collection, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage provider’s surgery and hospital procedure schedules, including changes and rescheduling and/or clinical follow up.
• Obtain authorization for surgeries by researching coverage and prior auth; verify eligibility.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure all necessary surgical equipment and orders are arranged.
• Meet with patients to explain the pre-operative process and arrange pre-op labs/tests.
• Document and scan patient charts; assist with cost estimations and billing disputes.
