Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an IT Analyst specialized in EMR systems to support patient care delivery through Epic and related applications. You will collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, test, train, and implement workflows, document processes, and ensure upgrades align with clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Epic Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• EMR application/implementation experience.
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Work with minimal guidance.
• Rapid learner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within deadline constraints.
• Intermediate knowledge of HL7 and API concepts and operating within an integrated healthcare applications environment.
• Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery.
• Collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain associated systems.
• Coordinates with physicians and end users to document workflows, perform gap analysis, and develop future workflows during new implementations.
• Communicates effectively with hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Maintains system configuration, QA, and version releases with documentation and training.
• Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies and provides resolution recommendations.
• Participates in cross-functional projects using project planning and lean methodologies.
• Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.
• Participates in meetings and reports status, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager.
• Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing and documents outcomes.
• Designs, builds, and configures within assigned system modules and supporting third-party applications, developing process documentation.
• Stays current on industry trends and vendor updates to ensure software modifications work as expected.
• Provides on-call support in a 24/7 production environment.
