Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a healthcare IT Analyst to maintain and optimize clinical and business systems supporting patient care. You will analyze problems, design workflows, and collaborate with clinicians and leaders to implement solutions, ensuring quality and documentation across updates and training.

Qualifications

• Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of classes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
• EMR application/implementation experience.
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and rapid learning.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.
• Knowledge of HL7 and API concepts in healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of clinical, business, and technical workflows.
• Education: Associate is required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Field of Study: Business, Information Science, or healthcare-related.
• Work Experience: 1+ year communicating complex concepts; 3+ years in related fields (preferred).
• Licenses/Certifications: EPIC Credential (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery.
• Analyze business problems and recommend solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate and maintain systems.
• Coordinate with physicians and end users to document workflows and develop future workflows.
• Communicate with hospital leadership and staff effectively.
• Maintain system configuration control, QA, and releases with documentation and training.
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Provide guidance and act as a resource for others; participate in meetings and status reporting.
• Develop test scripts and perform testing; document outcomes.
• Design, build, and configure within system modules and third-party apps; maintain process docs.
• Stay current on industry trends and vendor updates; provide on-call support in 24/7 environment.
