Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a qualified Epic Analyst to independently analyze clinical and operational requirements and design Epic workflows. You will own complex incidents, coordinate cross-application troubleshooting, and plan mid-sized projects.

The role requires 5–6 years in healthcare IT or clinical operations, Epic certification, and willingness to travel/on-call. You will contribute to testing, documentation, and end-user education while supporting go-lives and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
  • 5-6 years of direct clinical, healthcare operations, clinical information systems, or IT application support, Epic preferred.
  • No formal supervisory experience required; leadership experience preferred.
  • Epic certification in assigned applications is required or must be obtained within the timeframe set by AHC; clinical licensure preferred when relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational and clinical requirements; design workflows and configure Epic functionality.
  • Own complex incidents and requests; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate cross-application troubleshooting.
  • Plan and lead small-to-medium application projects, ensuring milestones and testing are met.
  • Serve as liaison among end users, leaders, Epic reps, and technical teams; ensure timely deliverables.
  • Assess impact of changes; develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Maintain documentation, training materials, and procedures; support end-user education.
  • Provide guidance and quality review for less-experienced analysts and users.
  • Participate in go-lives, upgrades, downtimes, on-call support; report status and risks to leadership.
