Sentara Health seeks an IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic Hospital Billing and Revenue Cycle applications. You will develop expertise in Epic configuration concepts, master files, and how changes affect workflows, while partnering with Revenue Cycle ops and IT teams.

This role emphasizes problem-solving, data analysis, and ensuring changes are tested and safe for downstream processes, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of related experience without a degree acceptable.
• Experience with Epic Hospital Billing and Revenue Cycle applications is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application issues and workflows to identify root causes and solutions.
• Understand Epic master files, configuration, and the relationships between components.
• Evaluate upstream and downstream impacts of configuration changes before implementing.
• Support Epic Hospital Billing workflows, workqueues, billing workflows, letters, and related Revenue Cycle functions.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and sustainable solutions.
• Troubleshoot by examining configuration, workflow, data, and system behavior.
• Test and validate changes to minimize downstream impacts.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle operations and IT teams to understand end-to-end processes.
• Maintain documentation and follow change management processes.
