Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support patient access workflows and Epic configuration. This 12-month remote opportunity offers collaboration across operations and IT to streamline revenue cycle processes and drive meaningful system improvements.

You will translate business needs into design specifications, participate in testing and go-live activities, and partner with trainers to develop targeted training materials.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence, and RTE.
• 4+ years of healthcare experience.
• 4+ years of client-facing healthcare domain knowledge, including financial clearance.
• 4+ years of experience with Epic applications.
• 4+ years knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and process improvement.
• 2+ years of Epic experience and direct client experience.
• Strong analytical skills to assess workflows, data, and technical issues.
• Clear communication and ability to work across teams.
• Self-directed with strong organization and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Support build, maintenance, upgrades, and project work for Epic Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence, and RTE.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical design specifications and review with stakeholders.
• Participate in workflow design, validation, testing, and issue resolution for enhancements and upgrades.
• Liaise between operations, IT, and third-party systems for application support and delivery.
• Assist with application incidents and troubleshoot defects or system issues.
• Support go-live activities and system upgrades with documentation and change control.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop training materials and curriculum.
• Build relationships with end users, business partners, and project teams for successful outcomes.
