Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumInsight is seeking an Epic Manager to lead Epic design and implementation, mentor staff, and guide multi-module Epic projects. You will shape clinical workflows and collaborate with end users to deliver scalable solutions across the Epic suite.

The role emphasizes mentoring, strategic AI-enabled process improvements, and strong stakeholder communication, with remote work across the U.S. and in-office requirements for certain hubs.

Qualifications

• Completed Epic CEE certification and current Epic certifications in ClinDoc, Orders, Beaker CP, and/or Beaker AP.
• 7+ years combined Healthcare and IT experience with at least 5+ years in Epic configuration.
• 2+ years resource management and/or large-scale project management.
• Experience leveraging enterprise AI tools to improve IT operations or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Epic application design, development, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with end users to design Epic Clinical Ancillary workflows.
• Lead all phases of medium to large Epic projects, including upgrades and new modules.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for Epic incidents as needed.
• Mentor direct reports and manage team staffing and capacity planning.
• Drive AI-enabled workflow improvements and enterprise-wide adoption.
• Communicate requirements and translate business needs into system design.
