Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access domains in Norfolk, VA. The role requires expert knowledge of Epic reporting tools and strong SQL/ETL programming skills, with 7+ years of Epic experience preferred.

The position involves building/configuring Epic modules, upgrades, workflow assessments, testing, incident and change management, and software release implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree or 7+ years without a degree.
• Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more applicable Epic applications required or preferred.
• Epic data analytics tools: Cogito, Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Mode, Access Data Mode, Revenue Data Model, Clinical Data Model.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access.
• Handle build/configuration, upgrades, testing, incident and change management, and software releases.
• Lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives and mentor less-experienced team members.
