Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas. You will build, configure, upgrade, and test Epic modules, assess workflows, and manage incidents and changes with minimal supervision while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have Epic certifications and 7+ years (or 5+ with a degree) of relevant experience, plus strong SQL, SSIS, R, and Python skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree.
• 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more applicable Epic applications required or preferred based on the specific position.
• Epic data analytics tools are Required: Cogito, Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, Access Data Model, Revenue Data Model, Clinical Data Model.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas.
• Perform application build/configuration, upgrades, enhancements, workflow assessments, testing, troubleshooting, incident/change management, and software release implementations.
• Work independently with limited supervision and collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users; may lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to less-experienced team members.
