Job summary

UMC Health System IT is seeking an IT Application Analyst to support Epic and 3rd party applications across supported departments. The role covers implementation, support, maintenance, and optimization, requiring collaboration with IT teams and end users to deliver a cohesive, integrated product offering.

Responsibilities include designing, building, and testing Epic and third-party apps, performing comprehensive testing, and validating workflows with end users.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's highly recommended.
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred.
• Certification in Epic Applications within six months of hire (two attempts maximum).
• Ability to communicate effectively via verbal or written methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test Epic and 3rd party applications for implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Performs comprehensive testing for designated applications, including documentation and issue resolution.
• Facilitate workflow design and validation with end users.
• Assess and document workflows by interviewing/shadowing users.
• Determine areas for improvement and optimize workflows; ensure integration testing.
• Follow change control processes to ensure data integrity and proper deployment.
• Handle assigned tasks per project scope and participate in on-call coverage.
